Hello, I'm Kelsey Chiasson (She/Her).
I am currently completing my Master of Arts degree in Counselling Psychology (MACP) through Yorkville University. Before enrolling in the MACP program, my education journey included an undergraduate degree in Health Science and a Diploma in Massage Therapy. As a Registered Massage Therapist, I have had the opportunity to grow and learn various skills. This has led to a further desire to learn more about trauma, anxiety, and its role within the human mind and body, ultimately becoming a genuine passion for myself.
As an intern with Couch of Hope, I intend to create a safe, authentic, and non-judgemental space by helping each client with a tailored therapeutic approach to fit their unique life journey and challenges. I believe everyone is an expert in their own life, and there are strengths to be discovered within each of us.
My therapeutic areas of interest include but are not limited to, anxiety, eating disorders, trauma, chronic pain, burnout, and grief.
When not studying, I can be found cooking, hiking, running, camping with my partner, or visiting beautiful Cape Breton Island, which holds a special space in my heart.
Fun fact – Je suis Francophone
I look forward to meeting you.
