Welcome! My name is Lisa (she/her) and I am thrilled to be completing my Counselling Internship with Couch of HOPE! I hold a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from Saint Mary’s University and am currently completing my Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology degree through Yorkville University.
When working with me, you can expect an allied approach to care, where your individuality is not only respected, but celebrated. I offer a warm, supportive, and nonjudgmental space where you can safely and openly share your story. Together, while drawing on your unique strengths and abilities, we will explore coping strategies and techniques to address any obstacles or challenges you are facing.
Although Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) is my preferred approach to treatment, I believe in incorporating other interventions to tailor treatments to each of my clients’ individual needs. My therapeutic areas of interest include, but are not limited to, anxiety, depression, relational difficulties, enhancing self-esteem and assertiveness, trauma, and parenting challenges.
I look forward to embarking on this journey alongside you!
