Lisa has been a practicing Counselling Therapist since 2012. She works both within the school system as well as private practice which has allowed her to gain perspective on teaching and supervising counselling students and candidates. She started supervising Master of Counselling students in 2018 and now supervises both counselling students and Registered Counselling Therapist Candidates. She has taught Education students at Mount Saint Vincent University about perspectives in mental health for educators, and has offered numerous presentations and professional development to educators on mental health, trauma and the multiple barriers students may face with attending school. Her past experience also includes working with non-profit counselling groups, working on the board of directors for various organizations (most recently the Nova Scotia College of Counselling Therapists) and as presently is serving as the Chair of the Registration Committee for the Nova Scotia College of Counselling Therapists. In her spare time she can usually be found on the soccer pitch or out enjoying nature.
