Cassidy Franklin

Hi there, my name is Cassidy (she/her) and I am a Counselling Intern at Couch of Hope! I’m originally from Wolfville, Nova Scotia, and am currently completing my masters in Counselling Psychology through Yorkville University. I hold a Bachelor of Science degree in nutrition from Acadia University, and I managed a community farmers’ market for several years after the completion of my nutrition degree.

While my background is in nutrition, my personal and professional experiences have led me towards pursuing a career in therapeutic counselling. As many of us will experience difficult times at different points in our lives, I believe that unconditional support through these times can be incredibly powerful. This is the kind of support I aim to provide to my clients within a safe, non-judgemental, and empathetic space.

My therapeutic areas of interest include, but are not limited to, anxiety, depression, grief, trauma, and general self-exploration. I also enjoy supporting youth, couples, LGBTQ+ community members, and individuals.

My goal as a future Counselling Therapist is to provide unconditional support to my clients and let them know that they are not alone in whatever struggles they may be facing. I am incredibly excited to be offering my services as a Counselling Intern with Couch of Hope, and for my future career in counselling therapy!
