Nicole Terry

Hi there! My name is Nicole Terry (She/Her). I live in Truro, Nova Scotia with my partner and our two cats. I enjoy knitting, painting, and spending time outdoors. I am an active member of the LGBTQIA2S+ community and an advocate for the rights of others. I am passionate about mental health and have previously been part of a Mental Health and Wellness Committee when I lived in Corner Brook, Newfoundland.

I am currently completing my Masters of Counselling Psychology through Yorkville University. I hold a Bachelors degree in Psychology from the Memorial University of Newfoundland. I have over four years of experience in the social services field as a behavioural and developmental interventionist where I have been able to support individuals through their healing journey. I have worked within the community as an outreach worker where I have had the opportunity to work and advocate for vulnerable populations. My previous experiences have led me on the path to becoming a counsellor. This has contributed to my growing interest in gender identity, depression, anxiety, autism spectrum disorder, and understanding and managing aggressive behaviours.

I believe in providing a safe and non-judgmental space for people to have the opportunity to share their stories and be heard. We can work together to develop adaptive ways of coping by using your strengths and abilities.

I look forward to meeting and supporting you through this journey.
