Victoria Foulger

My name is Victoria (she/her), and I am currently undertaking my Masters in Education in Counselling at Acadia University.

Mental health has been at the forefront of most of my work experiences. My first career was in healthcare, where I was a Senior Staff Nurse (RN) in the East End of London and Edinburgh, UK. In 2003 I moved to Nova Scotia and enrolled in the Registered Massage Therapy programme, from which I graduated with Honours in 2006. With my extensive healthcare background, I set up and ran a private health practice specializing in head and neck trauma, cancer care, end of life care and chronic pain.

My therapeutic interests include (but are not limited to) newcomer support, grief and bereavement support, depression, anxiety, trauma, and LGBTQIS2A+ support.

My primary focus as a counsellor is the care and maintenance of my relationship to the client, allowing them to be fully seen and heard in a non-judgemental way.
