Hanna Doucette

Hello, thank you for visiting my page!

My name is Hanna (she/her), and I am one of the Counselling Therapist Interns here at Couch of Hope. I obtained my bachelor's degree in psychology from Dalhousie University in 2022 and am now working towards completing my master’s degree in counselling psychology at Yorkville University. I am thrilled to be working with Couch of Hope while I complete my internship.

It is my priority to create a welcoming environment where you feel at ease, and free to express yourself without fear of judgment. I strive to cultivate an atmosphere of warmth and empathy, where you can share your thoughts and feelings at your own pace. I aim to build therapeutic relationships that promote growth, resilience, and healing.

My therapeutic areas of interest include but are not limited to anxiety, depression, ADHD, infertility, relationship issues, and workplace conflict. With a focus on you as the expert in your own life, my person-centered approach ensures that your unique experiences and perspectives guide our therapeutic journey. Understanding that each person is unique, I am also interested in integrating techniques from other modalities such as Solution-Focused Therapy, which emphasizes identifying solutions and building on your strengths to achieve desired outcomes. I am flexible in tailoring my approach to best suit your specific needs and preferences.

I understand that reaching out for help is not easy and I commend you for taking this step. Let's begin this adventure of self-exploration and positive change together!
