Welcome!
My name is Hayley (she/her), and I am so grateful to be part of the team at Couch of Hope as a counselling therapist intern.
I am currently completing a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology through Yorkville University and hold a Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Psychology from Mount Saint Vincent University. Throughout my studies, I have learned about many barriers that discourage people from seeking mental health support; therefore, having the opportunity to provide accessible counselling services to my community feels very special.
Counselling can be a daunting and nerve-wracking experience; therefore, I aim to create a safe, supportive, and non-judgmental environment that encourages you to grow at your own pace. In our work, we will collaboratively explore your current situation, concerns, and goals to help you plan a new way forward.
My areas of clinical interest include, but are not limited to, stress, burnout, anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship difficulties. While my therapeutic approach will be tailored to meet your needs and expectations, I am drawn to Person-Centered Therapy, Strength-Based Therapy, and Mindfulness-Based techniques.
If you think we may be a good fit, I look forward to connecting with you and learning about your story.
Sincerely,
Hayley
