Hello! My name is Jesseca (she/her), and I’m excited to join Couch of Hope as a Counselling Therapist Intern. My passion for counselling began during my studies at Saint Mary’s University, where I earned a Bachelor of Arts. I am currently pursuing a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology (MACP) from Yorkville University.
I bring valuable experience from working extensively with children and individuals facing behavioral challenges. In my practice, I take a person-centered approach, drawing on cognitive behavioral therapy, solution-focused therapy, and experiential approaches such as narrative therapy. Together, we will find the approach that best suits your needs.
Some of my key areas of interest include anxiety, depression, relationships, stress management, and trauma. I understand that reaching out for support can be difficult, but I’m here to help you navigate challenges and support you on your journey toward positive change and growth.
