Mary Robertson

Welcome!

My name is Mary Robertson (she/her), and I am delighted that you have taken the time to visit my profile.  I am a counselling therapist intern completing my Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology from Yorkville University here at Couch of Hope. I hold a Bachelor of Science (Psychology major), a Bachelor of Education, and a Master of Education in Guidance Counselling. With over 25 years of experience in the public school system, I have supported diverse learners from primary through grade 12 as both a learning support teacher and a guidance counsellor.

I am deeply committed to a holistic approach, valuing the psychological, biological, social, and spiritual aspects of each individual. My therapeutic approach is integrative and flexible, tailoring client-centered therapy to meet each person’s unique needs. Some of the therapeutic modalities I draw from but are not limited to are Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, Adlerian Therapy, and Mindfulness.

As a Therapist Intern, I am dedicated to fostering a warm, compassionate, and non-judgmental space where your story can be fully heard. My goal is to support you in achieving your personal goals. I am especially passionate about working with individuals who are neurodivergent (ADHD, autism, learning disabilities), those living with chronic illnesses (both visible and invisible), and those facing challenges related to school.

It would be my honor to walk with you on your journey toward wellness and self-discovery.
